Write With Us

Want to bring your own work to The Literary End? We welcome submissions, but make sure you read these guidelines, as well as the Artists' Statements, to understand what we're looking for from this project. Once you've done that...

1: For submissions, we will take either completed pieces (flash fiction/poetry already applied to a rear end image) or just the flash fiction/poetry, which we will then pair with an appropriate bottom for you. If you send a completed piece, please include proof that you have the right to use the image in question. If you need assistance with that, we can help you. Just email literaryend@gmail.com.

2: If you send just the flash fiction/poetry, it needs to be small enough to fit legibly on an image. Probably not more than about 50 words. If you send a complete piece, just make sure that the literature is legible. Please include all text submissions in the body of the email.

3: We unfortunately do not pay for submissions. We also cannot guarantee when your piece will make it into the lineup, as much of our schedule is already predetermined. If you have a strong preference for a particular date, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

4: In keeping with the style and feel of The Literary End, we cannot accept any crude works. We're not prudes, but the fiction is not about the body part in question. Please read some of the pieces on the blog to get a clearer understanding of the type of poetry/fiction we are looking for.

HOW TO SUBMIT:

Send your flash fiction/poetry to literaryend@gmail.com. Our preference for images, if you include your own, is JPEG. Please also include the name you wish to appear for credit, a link to your website/blog/what have you, a link to the original image (if applicable), the name of the image creator (if applicable), and a contact email address. If you are sending a piece that is not yet attached to a picture, please include it in the body of the email, not as an attachment.

We look forward to hearing from you,
Frances and Voss
